So, It's a good thing that I am off work today because I just made a HUGE mistake. As I've stated in the past few blogs, I have been having panic attacks real bad. With all the medication I'm on, they've settled down for the most part but still pop up now and then. Well, I'm off work today as part of the holidays (since christmas eve was sunday and we were off anyways) and I thought hey why not start the day off with a cup of coffee? I've never been a huge coffee drinker, I just have one cup in the morning and I'm good for the day. And generally I would drink it mainly in the winter when it's cold just to get a jump start on my body heat. Yeah I'm usually warm anyways but after first waking up, I am a lil chilled since my body's been immobile. Hey, that's just how I look at it. Anyways, I have had 3/4 of a cup of coffee, and I feel my chest getting tight. Feeling that damn panic attack going on. It's annoying to say the least as well as a bit scary. So it's a good thing I am off work today or else I'd be in a bit of trouble since it usually takes an hour for me to snap out of these and I'd have to of left for work by now. My boss thankfully understands the situation so he doesn't give me a hard time over it, he knows that this bothers me enough as is. But yeah..... I think I'm just going to hide for a while until it blows over.....
Are you suggesting that the caffeine caused your attack, even though you've drunk coffee before? If you think that is the case, I hope you've decided to curtail caffeine all together! I've had a few panic attacks, and they aren't any fun at all. I hope your medication continues to work!
