Hiya! Sad to see, there are very little women and non from my area. This imbalance seems to be the same on all diaper community pages.
Probably one reason is, that men can be very thing, when their fetish has them in their grip. Women like to have a life beyond the fetish. I understand that

yes its that....also because DLism (especially kink related) tends to be dominated by lesbian compared to bi or straight women. But you are mainly right on your first point. personally, i cannot 'separate' and truly connect with someone and pretend to be some boring vanilla
